The surrounding area offers a wealth of leisure activities in both summer and winter. For a varied stay, visit the town's indoor pool with sauna and solaria, or go for a sightseeing flight over the Bavarian Forest from the nearby airfield and gliding centre. Also recommended is a visit to the glassworks, where high quality lead crystal is created from liquid glass before being refined in the glass-grinding workshop. During the winter, you can visit the Eck-Riedlstein Ski Centre or the Riedlberg. Fans of cross-country skiing can use the "Auerhahn-Höhenloipe" track, while keen tobogganists will enjoy visiting the region's longest toboggan run in Schareben.
